Hollie Cavanagh Eliminated From American Idol Season 11, Top 3 Semi-Finalists Revealed

Hollie Cavanagh

In two weeks time we will finally see whoever wins American Idol Season 11. But before that happens another one has left the ranks of the finalists as Hollie Cavanagh is eliminated from American Idol after garnering the lowest votes on the elimination night. Three remains -- Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet -- and yet another one will go before the inevitable finale.

This week, the contestants performed a solo and a duet song by Californian artists and any song that they wished they have written. During the show, the final four performed a group song, which you can watch below. This elimination is a good news for the remaining powerhouse performers and their avid fans. And to think two of my most favorite contestants, Jessica and Phillip, are still in.

For those of you who haven't seen Hollie's performances on the Top 4 finals night, you could check them out right here:

California Dreamin' (solo) - Faithfully

California Dreamin' (duet) - Eternal Flame

They Wish They'd Written - I Can't Make You Love Me

And as promised here is the group performance of the top 4 contestants, Waiting for a Girl Like You:

After Hollie Cavanagh's elimination from American Idol Season 11, I became too excited to finally know who's gonna win the show. It's just that the thought does not go away from me that Hollie's song choice I Can't Make You Love Me is a premonition of her fate on the show, but I don't really mind as long as Jessica Sanchez is still in the competition. This is really no surprise here though since Hollie almost always belonged to the bottom three in the past six weeks.

Two weeks seem too far away from now and yet I don't have the power to make it come closer. Please, please grand finals come any faster.
