Madonna and Lady Gaga Word War Over Born This Way Mash Up and the Equally Harsh Rebuttal

In the showbiz arena, nothing is really original anymore. It's either someone copied from someone, whether intentional or not. But to actually hear and see it from contemporary artists bring up this topic is really refreshing and exciting. It all started when Madonna shared some subtle implied slams that Lady Gaga was a copycat.

And to the delight of some pro-Material Girl audience, Madonna did a mash-up of her Express Your Self song and Lady Gaga's Born This Way during her MDNA concert tour. This is to show how similar the songs were, simply proving that Gaga was indeed a CC (short for Copy Cat). Not satisfied, the Material Girl singer kept repeating, "She's not me."

Of course, Lady Gaga's camp wouldn't take this easily. After having been fed up with these snides, Lady Gaga started to fire back. Many claimed that she even coined "Menopausal Mom" as a reference to her offender whenever she was having private conversations.

During her New Zealand concert, she released the following statement: “It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down, or make fun of them, or maybe make mockery of their work... And that doesn’t make me feel good at all. That just makes me feel like I’m not a good human being. I don’t even want to fight back because it’s more important to me to keep writing music. Because that’s really all I care about, is the music.”

Regarding Madonna's intentional nip slip, all she could comment is: "Pathetic."

Funny, right? But it will be very exciting to finally see two divas tear each other's hair off. But I hope the exchange of words between the two will end up in a friendly way. Many people are looking up to them, after all, as their role models and it's just not a great example to fight over some stuff that could be settled. If this cold word war will not be settled, this will be very epic, since both parties has millions of fans to fight for their idols.
