The Harry Potter trio is moving on with their careers outside the Harry Potter universe. Emma Watson, who played Hermione, has her Perks of Being a Wallflower and the bold movie The Bling Ring, while Rupert Grint is shying away from Ron Weasley through Into the White, Postman Pat and even a music video gig with Ed Sheeran.

Updated: Here is the trailer of The Cripple of Inishmaan, starring Daniel Radcliffe.

As for the Harry Potter actor himself, Daniel Radcliffe is going back to London's West End by starring in The Cripple of Inishmaan. The actor has had made bold moves on the stage scene before by starring in a stage play titled Equus. According to Daily Mail, "Daniel Radcliffe read Martin McDonagh’s much-lauded play The Cripple Of Inishmaan and knew he had to do it." Radcliffe was quoted saying, "It’s got pathos, heartbreak — and it’s very funny."

Here are some promotional material of the said show:

The Cripple of Inishmaan revolves around an orphaned young man with a withered hand and foot living in a 1930s setting. For the locals of the west coast of Ireland where he is living, this young man is known as 'Cripple Billy'. He finds an opportunity to escape this place in the person of an American film-maker, who is shooting a documentary on a nearby Isle of Arran. Hollywood is definitely in his mind.

Here is a trailer of an earlier run of the show:

"A young boy desperate to be in film . . . I can relate to that," the actor mused. He also added that he is "desperate to find something to come back to London with" and The Cripple of Inishmaan is the obvious answer to it all. Daniel Radcliffe will make his appearance on the said show on June 8 up until August 31 of this year. Tickets are available for preorder here.
