Taylor Swift Turns To Dreamlike Scenarios In New 'Out Of The Woods' Music Video

The recent music video from Taylor Swift is very much like my last nightmare. It is filled with psychological representations of anxieties that I encounter in the last few years of my life. It is as if the song and and music video of Out of the Woods is especially written for me.

Out of the Woods by Taylor Swift

The video is by far, one of her very best! The visuals are so amazing and cinematic, but you are left with a dark feeling that something is creeping to get you or danger is about to happen. In every scenario she is almost always falling... until at the later part where all the gritty and ugly elements of the scenes cleared up and gave way to a calm atmosphere...

Watch the music video of Out of the Woods by Taylor Swift.

Out of the Woods is the sixth official single lifted from Taylor Swift's fifth studio album, 1989 (but it was the first promotional single and was the second to be released from said album). Being the fourth track of 1989, the song is about a relationship she was in "that the number one feeling [she] felt in the whole relationship is anxiety."

The music video was once again directed by Joseph Kahn, whom she had previous collaboration on Blank Space, Bad Blood and Wildest Dreams. The scenes were filmed in the mountainous region of Queenstown, New Zealand and on Bethells Beach.

Nature Lovers Alert! Justin Bieber Launches New "I'll Show You" Music Video

Justin Bieber has release his first promotional single from his upcoming fourth studio album, Purpose. The single is titled I'll Show You, which is listed as the the second track of the said album. A music video accompanies the single and it features some outdoor shots of Justin Bieber.

Purpose by Justin Bieber

I find the music video so liberating as I always wanted to trek and hike on mountains and water fall areas. This is such a fresh take on a music video as far as I am concerned, and I would like to partake on the adventures that are featured in the video... The greeneries, the lush landscape, and vertigo-inducing cliffs make me wanna escape this city life and enjoy the magnificence and glory of Mother Nature. Where could this place be, I'dd like to know...

I'll Show You was written by Justin Bieber himself, together with Michael Tucker, Josh Gudwin, Theron Feemster, and Skrillex, who also produced the song. Ariana Grande Releases New Single 'Focus' Plus Official Music Video

Ariana Grande just kicked off The Halloween spirit by releasing her new single titled Focus ahead of her midnight schedule. This definitely gave fans an abrupt Halloween costume idea as she rocked her ice white do (with purple highlights) and floral contacts. And who could resist her alternate starry frock with net leggings?

Focus by Ariana Grande

Focus is the first single lifted from her upcoming album called Moonlight, which is expected to be released early next year. The song was written by Savan Kotecha, Ilya, Peter Svensson, and Grande. Fans have long been waiting for this as she previously announced this was supposed to be released in September...

Watch One Direction As They Perform In The New 'Perfect' Music Video

One direction has recently released an extended play disc featuring four songs, with Perfect in the front liner. Perfect is actually the second single after the group has dwindled down to four members (sans Zayn Malik). This is of course attached to there upcoming fifth studio album, Made in the A.M.

Perfect by One Direction

Some say that the song is a response to Taylor Swift's Styles, which all of you know is directed to the One Direction member harry Styles. If this is confirmed, then it brings about glimpses on the relationship of the two, which has already ended despite the seemingly good things we here about it based on the lyrics of both songs.

Watch the new music video of Perfect by One Direction.

The music video was directed by Sophie Muller and was released last October 20, 2015. The video was shot in Intercontinental Hotel in New York City last September and the concept is a fresh and peek on the lives of the singers while on tour.

I don't know but Louis Tomlinson is getting a lot of screen time and exposure lately, which I also noticed on this last single and music video for Drag Me Down. I can sense that they are boosting up the guy after some fans previously complained about his "almost stand-in" role in the band. The EP cover above seems to confirm my hunch...

Made in the A.M. will be released on November 13, 2015 under Columbia and Syco records.

EDM Fans and the Allure of the Electric Dance Music Movement

EDM
DJ and record producer Kascade said, "A lot of people see electronic music as a flavor of the week, but it can be more than that — has to be more than that." The American musician may have been more correct than he realized when he first uttered these words. Electronic Dance Music (EDM) has become much more than a music flavor in the past ten years, and it has evolved into a kind of modern lifestyle.

So what has given this flavor of the week staying power? Quite possibly, it's the fans. As part of one of the fastest growing sub-sects in music fandom, EDM fans encircle their lives around the music, social media and live events of EDM.

The Music

So, what's the big deal with EDM? That's a difficult question to answer since there are so many sub-genres that fall under the EDM umbrella: techno, house, trance, garage, drum and bass, dubstep, trap, grime, juke, moombahton, hardstyle, downtempo and breakbeat. And each of these sub-genres have sub-styles, unique artists and specific target audiences.

Different genre fans sport different trendy attire, from the PLUR (peace, love, unity, respect) girls in their short skirts and florescent bikini tops to the Skrillex fans draped in black and wearing charcoal eyeliner. It's complicated to distinguish one sub to the next, and the fans of each genre like to keep it that way.

Social Media

The bloodstream of the EDM movement and crux of the rapid development of the EDM community is social media. EDM fans, Kandi Kids and ravers can't get enough of their social platforms, mainly using posts to communicate with each other about when and where shows will take place and as a means of chronicling their adventures.

According to a 2014 Eventbrite study, EDM fans on Twitter tweeted almost six times more than a standard Twitter account user. These findings are not surprising considering that many in the EDM community likely prefer cellphones with advanced mobile device features, like easy social media apps and the slo-mo video recording capabilities that shoot at a mind-blowing 240 fps on the iPhone 6 Plus. These features enhance the EDM fans' ability to share and communicate.

The Experience

The Evenbrite study also determined that compared to fans of other music genres, EDM fans' tweet content discussed concerts 30 percent more than any other genre's fans, suggesting that sharing the experience of an EDM live show is an imperative for these concert-goers. Plus, more than 39 percent of EDM Twitter and Facebook conversations highlight the love for EDM as the main focus of the post.

To its fans, EDM is not just something you listen to, it is something you experience live. With such a positive vibe created through the music and the followers of this movement, it is no wonder EDM has grown its fan base and taken the music world by storm.

As the prophetic Kascade hypothesized, EDM is not a flavor of the week. It's not a flash in the pan of music history. For the Kandi Kids and PLUR girls, the ravers and more, EDM has become a way of life.

Hello! Adele Releases New Music Video After Three Years Of Long Wait, Plus New Single

It's been a long time and Adele has been silent after a long hiatus. In fact it has been more than three years since she release a new music video, the last of which was the mega hit video of Someone Like You. Watch the new music video of Hello by Adele.

Hello is the first single and track lifted from Adele's upcoming album, 25, which will be out this November 20, 2105. The video, which was filmed in Montreal, was directed and edited by Xavier Dolan. Believe Media, Sons of Manual and Metafilms have produced the video under executive producer Jannie McInnes. Set was designed by Colombe Raby and cinematography by André Turpin. This was produced by Nancy Grant and Xavier Dolan.

Watching the music video made me really emotional and something within me click to reconcile my self... Accompanied by a relatable song, which is greatly epic in scope, just left me somewhat satisfied... The long wait is really worth the wait.

Simple Plan Releases 'I Don't Wanna Go To Bed' Official Music Video Featuring Nelly & The Hoff

Summer has already ended, but that doesn't stop the Simple Plan crew to have a Baywatch theme on their next music video. This one is in line with the third single lifted from the band's upcoming fifth studio album. I Don't Wanna Go To Bed follows up Boom and I Don't Wanna Be Sad.

I Don't Wanna Go To Bed by Simple Plan ft. Nelly

The video is directed by Mark Staubach and was Shot in California, giving this Canadian group some reason to shed off their clothes, don the red swimming suit and show some skin. They're definitely going away with their high school punk branding and moving ahead to the hot direction.

Watch the music video of I Don't Wanna Go To Bed by Simple Plan, featuring Nelly (track) and David Hasselhoff (video), the original Baywatch guy.

There's no official and complete list of the tracks of the said upcoming album, and no official title and release date (in 2016) either... so stay tune as I will update you once we get these information.

Watch Sam Smith Perform 'Writing's On The Wall' In A Music Video For Spectre

The 24th feature film of the James Bond saga is on its way to theaters and there is nothing more exciting than seeing very teasing trailers, posters and promotional materials. Add to this list the official title song, Writing's On The Wall, written and performed by Sam Smith and are surely on your way to the screenings already.

Writing's On The Wall by Sam Smith

The song, which reminds me greatly of Adele's Skyfall, is now up for grabs and the official music video is also available for your critical assessments. The song is very reminiscent of Adele's maybe because the two movies they are attached to are both directed by Sam Mendes.

Enjoy watching Sam Smith perform Writing's On The Wall.

The song was composed by Sam Smith himself (with collaborator Jimmy Napes) and he shared that it was one of the easiest song that he has to write and completed in one whirlwind session. Do you like the song and the music video? I did...

Simple Plan Releases New 'I Don’t Wanna Be Sad' Single, Listen To It Now

Simple Plan is back with a heart-lifting single titled I Don’t Wanna Be Sad. It's actually true in a way, since happiness is a choice. So the moment you uttered the phrase you already made your choice and manifested your will. Although if we refer to The Secret we should state in the positive as negations are eliminated when it comes to the workings of the mind.

I Don’t Wanna Be Sad by Simple Plan

The track somehow pulls away from the lead singer's (Pierre Bouvier) usual songs leaning on the sad side. The single follows on with the previously released single, Boom, which also has a positive outlook and message.

Listen to I Don’t Wanna Be Sad by Simple Plan, or you can sing along if you are in the mood just like I am.

I Don’t Wanna Be Sad is the latest single lifted from the band's upcoming fifth studio album. The album title and track list are kept under wraps at the moment... but I will share them to you once they become available.

Official Music Video Of 'Hypnosis' By Damien Rice Shows Why I Love His Craft

Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet is an animated movie based on the literature or poetry of the same title. It was an official selection at Cannes and premiered at North American soil during the Toronto International Film Festival. It is starred by Salma Hayek and Liam Neeson among many other voice actors that could deliver. The movie is directed by Roger Allers, who is best known for the Disney classic The Lion King.

Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet

Not only is the movie a feast of visual imagery, but it features some auditory bliss that affects your very roots and core. One such auditory offerings is the soundtrack of the song performed by Irish artist Damien Rice. In the song called Hypnosis, Rice demonstrates why I loved his works. You could listen to (or watch) the song and video to judge for your self.

Watch the new music video of Hypnosis by Damien Rice.

The video in itself is very immersive, but with the accompaniment of the song it brings out even more meaning and emotion to what we are seeing. This is definitely an apex artistic moment that both captures and reflects a journey of the soul, not only of the main characters of the movie but of all of us....

I hope you have enjoyed the video as much as I did....

Drag Me Down By One Direction: Theme Song Of Personal Strength And Independence

Drag Me Down has been released for quite sometime already. The song and music video have already been feasted upon by millions and it is only now that I share the song to you, my reader... not as a revelation but as a celebration of my personal experiences and outlook in life.

Drag Me Down by One Direction

Challenges and tribulations are ever-always present, but I do believe nothing disturbs a free and peaceful spirit. The song just resonated in me because of the message that I can relate with, especially of empowering one's self and manifesting independence. The One Direction song may be focusing more on love, but there is nothing greater than loving one's self and finding one's niche in the universe and those are just the starting point of making you strong physically and internally. And eventually, as the song suggests: nothing will drag you and me down.

So here it is: watch One Direction's Drag Me Down music video.

Hope the song has uplifted your spirit as well.

As few thoughts on the video: This is I think the very first One Direction music video that features the remaining four members of the band (after Zayn Malik left the group). It's kind of ironic, also, that this happened after the latter's departure, giving away the message that despite what happened the band will remain strong, or stronger than ever. On a side note, I just noticed that Louis is now getting more air and video time, if you know what I mean.

The astronaut theme in the video is a paradox. It's as if the band's journey is reflected by a flight of a spaceship: the most crucial and hardest part is the moment when the craft is at the verge of breaking free from the grasp of gravity, hence "drag me down." As a juxtaposition it shows that the member have to train hard to face the hardest struggles, to prepare and eventually surpass all personal limitations.

Make Your 'Wildest Dreams' Come True In New Taylor Swift Music Video, Featuring Scott Eastwood

Three months ago Taylor Swift released maybe one of her most controversial and action-filled movie-themed music video... Controversial in a way since the song is inspired by her experience with a fellow singer, whom she had worked with before and then later on had a fall out with... The tirade has been all over the net and so the not-so-obvious eventually became that kind of obvious: everyone doesn't need to guess the who's who of it.

Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift

To ease things up and a way to divert attention, a new music video has been released as an accompaniment for the release of Taylor Swift's next single. And as the song title suggests, you may be able to turn to reality your wildest dreams... albeit only by putting or imagining your self in the shoes of the artist. And oh, the Safari theme and all of the animals hooked me to the very end... Taylor Swift as Elizabeth Taylor is a believable "make believe", you know what I mean? #PETA: No animals we're harmed in the making of this video. Proceeds are donated to African Parks Foundation of America.

Watch the music video of Wildest Dreams by Taylor Swift.

Wildest Dreams is Taylor Swift fifth single lifted from her latest album, 1989. It is the ninth track in the said album, if you should remember. It was especially written by Taylor Swift alongside her producers Max Martin and Shellback.

The music video was directed by Joseph Kahn, who also directed Blank Space and Bad Blood music videos. Taylor Swift is more likely satisfied with his work as he is being tapped for directorial chair again and again. Swift appeared alongside Scott Eastwood, who has been abuzz lately with the release of his country-themed movie, The Longest Ride, based on the romantic novel written by Nicholas Sparks.

The yet to be titled album will be released on November 13, 2015. The official track listing is still in the wraps, but if this song proves to be a mould for the entire album, then I am sold. This feel-good beat is enough to convince me of what's next to come from Justin Bieber.

#BOOM: Simple Plan Returns With A Bang In New Single And Music Video

It's been a while, indeed, since the last time Simple Plan made me excited. For state-side citizens, they may claim they are graced by the band's performances from time to time, but for the folks at the other site of the world you'll be lucky if you get some scrap of news. Now, it seems we have a feast... with the bands latest single as our main course!

Boom by Simple Plan

Simple Plan has released their latest single titled Boom, and it is accompanied by the usually good music video. The single is lifted from their upcoming fifth studio album, which is yet to be named and line-up or tracks revealed. One thing is for sure though, the new album will be out early next year. For now enjoy the single that will satiate your hunger for all-things Simple Plan. #SPalbum5

Watch the new official music video of Boom by Simple Plan.

The music video features some of the band members' friends, like members of All Time Low, PVRIS, Pierce The Veil, Black Veil Brides, Silverstein, New Found Glory and many more. It was directed by Chady Awad and was filmed on Warped Tour, at the Alt Press APMAs, and in Montreal, QC at New City Gas.

This video just pulled off their old tricks aka old roots, which is a good thing! Who doesn't want some high energy performances and don't forget to mention some clips from their live gigs. I just wish I was part of the crowd joining the band at the end of the video...

Now let me enjoy my moment: Boom! Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...

Music Visualization: An Impressive 40-Year History

Music Visualization
In 1976, Atari unveiled the world's first commercial music visualizer designed by Pong creator Bob Brown. The quirky device played what can best be described as psychedelic pixelation. Plug in the box to any TV or audio source, and people could watch the visualizer morph across the screen. Modern visualizers employ specially designed software that captures the data from an audio file. From there it transforms into a graphic with a pre-determined hue and spatial point. The process works in real time to make the music and visual sync up together. Although Atari’s Visualizer never really received a wild welcome, Atari did open the door for modern day visualizers at music festivals, concerts and with today’s music services.

Pyro Board Rubens Tube

Atari may have been the first to introduce commercial music visualization, but German physicist Heinrich Rubens got a jump on the dancing audio phenomenon in 1905. The Pyro Board Rubens Tube uses fire to transform standing sound waves. The flames stay the same height without sound. When sound enters the tube, it affects the amount of gas and the waveform changes and dances. It gives the idea of a fire dance a whole new meaning.

Cthugha

After some attempts at music visualization and software launches in the 80s, interest picked up in the 90s. Cthugha was just one of the programs developed and is still used today. Free for PCs and Macs, Cthugha transforms sound input from a CD, stereo or mix into graphics synced to sound. With the help of like-minded software, music visualization has grown in popularity at festivals and raves for a hypnotizing visual complemented with funky B-roll footage from a stock imagery site like Shutterstock.

Pixelmusic 3000

Released in 2008, Pixelmusic 3000 was created by Uncommon Projects for a Make Magazine project. The makers detailed how to create and modify the visualizer for personal use and embrace the world of forgotten technology. Pixelmusic offers tools for anyone to create a music visualizer and see their music dance to the beat.

Audiosurf

Part game, part visualizer, Audiosurf lets you use your own music to create a graphic experience. The game takes you on a ride where the song you choose dictates how fast you go as well as the shape and mood. Points are earned by grouping together color blocks on the highway and users can compete with each other over the Internet.

iTunes

The iTunes Visualizer launches pulsating graphics that bend and twist along with your music. When the Visualizer is playing, hit the question mark key to see hidden settings to change up the pattern or color scheme. The iTunes Visualizer even works without a song playing if you just enjoy the effects but don’t want to listen to music.

Apps

Today anyone can enjoy their own music visualizer through the power of a smartphone. Download an app like the appropriately named Music Visualizer to render beautiful effects while listening to your music. Whether you're listening to techno, rap or pop, the visualizer responds and dances to the beat.
Audio Glow is a customizable music visualizer app that plays pulsating graphics from music or any app on your smartphone. Change up the color, shape and height of the visuals at the touch of your finger.

Katharine McPhee's 'Lick My Lips' Will Make You Click & Finger-Snap To The Beat

It's been a while since we've last heard from Katharine McPhee. I've been nurturing my love for her in the past couple years, especially when she starred at Smash, a musical TV series that was unfortunately axed after it's second season. So I've been longing for a new single or song, much more a new album, from her.

Lick My Lips by Katharine McPhee

And now as a teaser, she has released the first single from her upcoming fourth studio album, Hysteria. Titled Lick My Lips, the song'll definitely make you wanna go with the beat. This new music video has been long in the waiting since she first announced it in her Instagram account last April.

Watch Katharine McPhee in the new Lick My Lips music video.

No further details have been given yet about her fourth studio album, but it will definitely be released on July 21, 2015. The complete list of tracks of Hysteria and what-nots are as of now in the wraps -- locked and sealed. It's been five years since we have a full dose of a studio album from her, so I'm gonna bet it'll gonna be worth the wait.

Watch Taylor Swift Kick Some Ass In Bad Blood (Featuring Kendrick Lamar) Music video

I've been famished with all things Taylor Swift lately. I mean to say, I've been looking around for more music video from said artist, because I know it would definitely be awesome! And so after weeks of endless teasing a new video has come our way as a supplement to her latest single.

The Bad Blood music video has come our way and as expected it is nothing like her previous videos. The video almost feels like a short film, a story of espionage and ass-kicking action reminiscent of Charlie's Angel and the like.

Watch Taylor Swift do some kick-ass moves in Bad Blood (ft. Kendrick Lamar) music video.

And just to relive what you just saw, enjoy these fantastic "posters" of the music video.

Bad Blood by Taylor Swift

Bad Blood is the fourth single lifted from Taylor Swift's fifth studio album, 1989. Joseph Kahn directed this ass kicking music video. He also directed the music video for Blank Space, which is the second single lifted from the same album. As you can see in the posters the actresses and actor who have taken part in the video has chosen the name for their own alternate characters. Despite the London's Liverpool Street feel, the video was actually shot in Los Angeles, California on April 9 to 13 of 2015. It premiered during the Billboard Music Awards.
