Book Of The Ancestor 3: 'Holy Sister' And Impossible Times: 'One Word Kill' By Mark Lawrence Get Official Covers

In a rare occasion the cover of Mark Lawrence's Holy Sister UK edition has been unveiled miles ahead than that of the US edition. Most of the time it is the other way around since the US publishers would kick off a rigorous marketing 8 to 6 months prior a book's publication, while UK publishers would usually do it 5 to 3 months prior of a release.

It is a surprise to me then that the cover of the UK cover of said book was unveiled to the world months ahead... But that does not diminish the excitement I got when the US edition finally got its cover as well.

Check out the cover of Holy Sister (US Edition) by Mark Lawrence crafted by Bastien Lecouff Deharme.

One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence

Ready Player One meets Stranger Things in this thrilling new novel by bestselling author Mark Lawrence.

In January 1986, fifteen-year-old boy-genius Nick Hayes discovers he’s dying. And it isn’t even the strangest thing to happen to him that week.

Nick and his Dungeons & Dragons-playing friends are used to living in their imaginations. But when a new girl, Mia, joins the group and reality becomes weirder than the fantasy world they visit in their weekly games, none of them are prepared for what comes next. A strange—yet curiously familiar—man is following Nick, with abilities that just shouldn’t exist. And this man bears a cryptic message: Mia’s in grave danger, though she doesn’t know it yet. She needs Nick’s help—now.

He finds himself in a race against time to unravel an impossible mystery and save the girl. And all that stands in his way is a probably terminal disease, a knife-wielding maniac and the laws of physics.

Challenge accepted.

One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence will be released on May 1, 2019. You should note that this is a trilogy and each book will be released one month apart from each other.

Update: The second book is called Limited Wish. You can check out its cover below.

Limited Wish by Mark Lawrence

One choice. Two possible timelines. And a world hanging in the balance.

It’s the summer of 1986 and reluctant prodigy Nick Hayes is a student at Cambridge University, working with world-renowned mathematician Professor Halligan. He just wants to be a regular student, but regular isn’t really an option for a boy-genius cancer survivor who’s already dabbled in time travel.

When he crosses paths with a mysterious yet curiously familiar girl, Nick discovers that creases have appeared in the fabric of time, and that he is at the centre of the disruption. Only Nick can resolve this time paradox before the damage becomes catastrophic for both him and the future of the world. Time is running out—literally.

Wrapped up with him in this potentially apocalyptic scenario are his ex-girlfriend, Mia, and fellow student Helen. Facing the world-ending chaos of a split in time, Nick must act fast and make the choice of a lifetime—or lifetimes.

Game on.

Limited Wish by Mark Lawrence will be released on June 6, 2019.

'Max Tilt: Enter The Core' By Peter Lerangis Gets Official Cover, Synopsis, And Release Date

I am always fascinated of the stories written by Peter Lerangis. Lately his young adult adventure novels combining contemporary setting with ancient histories are a personal favorite. Think of the seven wonders of the ancient world plus the quest to save the world from evil forces. Or think about Jules Verne-esque high-stake stories.

Max Tilt certainly delivers on the latter and it is quite a sad affair that this series is finally coming to an end with Max Tilt: Enter the Core. This closing chapter to an epic adventure, which will be released early next year, gets an official cover that you'll certainly love -- that is if you are into dinosaurs.

Max Tilt: Enter the Core by Peter Lerangis

The New York Times bestselling author of the Seven Wonders series and of books in the 39 Clues series, Peter Lerangis, brings us the final installment of the thrilling Max Tilt trilogy.

Max Tilt thinks his luck is finally changing, thanks to his great-great-great-grandfather Jules Verne’s unfinished, unpublished manuscript, The Lost Treasures. Using the clues Verne left behind, Max and his cousin Alex were able to bottle the magical healing elements needed to cure his mother’s illness just in the nick of time.

But then Max and Alex discover that the vials were stolen by their former friend, Bitsy. She has plans to use them to save the world—but her plans might be much more deadly than they seem. And so now it’s up to Max and Alex to stop her before it’s too late.

Working against the odds, the two kids glean clues from one of Verne’s best-loved books, Journey to the Center of the Earth. In it, they discover a map to their most dangerous destination yet—the very core of the world. And so now the two cousins are off on their most unlikely, most important quest yet—literally to save the world!

It’s the final installment of the riveting adventure series from master storyteller and New York Times bestselling author Peter Lerangis.

Max Tilt: Enter the Core by Peter Lerangis will be released on February 19, 2019.

The Living by Isaac Marion

A monster's search for humanity
A woman's fight for a world worth living in
A hope that refuses to die

The New York Times bestselling Warm Bodies Series has captivated readers in twenty-five languages, inspiring a major film and transcending the zombie genre to become something "poetic" (Library Journal) "highly original" (Seattle Times) and "ultimately moving" (Time Out London). Now the story of a dead man's search for life reaches its conclusion on a scale both epic and intimate.

Before he was a flesh-eating corpse, R was something worse. He remembers it all now, a life of greed and apathy more destructive than any virus, and he sees only one path to redemption: he must fight the forces he helped create. But what can R, Julie, and their tiny gang of fugitives do against the creeping might of the Axiom Group, the bizarre undead corporation that's devouring what's left of America?

It's time for a road trip.

No more flyover country. This time they'll face the madness on the ground, racing their RV across the wastelands as tensions rise and bonds unravel—because R isn't the only one hiding painful secrets. Everyone is on their own desperate search: for a kidnapped daughter, a suicidal mother, and an abused little boy with a gift that could save humanity... if humanity can convince him it's worth saving.

All roads lead home, to a final confrontation with the plague and its shareholders. But this is a monster that guns can't kill. A battle only one weapon can win...

The Living by Isaac Marion will be released on November 13, 2018. You can get a copy of the book through the author's website.

'The Stiehl Assassin' Continues The Fall of Shannara Series By Terry Brooks, And More On What's Next From The Author

The Fall of Shannara series closes the curtains on the Shannara world created by Terry Brooks. And that is both sad and scary to think that we are almost at its end now that its penultimate book called The Stiehl Assassin is about to come our way.

You would wonder that after this what would we look forward to now... Well, for one thing, he turns to writing Science Fiction with Street Freaks and you may expect some sequels. He will also be writing another book from the Magic Kingdom series. Plus, he already has a concept for a new fantasy series that his agent and editor really liked. So there are pretty plenty of great reads to fill in the void Shannara will leave us.

For what it's worth I am gonna savor the last two Shannara books and I hope The Stiehl Assassin would come any sooner and not disappoint. So far no official cover has been released so I will leave it up to your imagination, but read on for some other details.

The Stiehl Assassin by Terry Brooks

After The Black Elfstone and The Skaar Invasion comes the next chapter in the Fall of Shannara, a saga more than four decades in the making.

The Skaar have arrived in the Four Lands, determined to stop at nothing less than all-out conquest. They badly need a new home, but peaceful coexistence is not a concept they have ever understood. An advance force under the command of the lovely princess Ajin has already established a foothold, but now the full Skaar army is on the march--and woe betide any who stands in its way.

But perhaps the Skaar victory is not quite as much of a foregone conclusion as they all assume. The Druid Drisker Arc has freed both himself and Paranor from their involuntary exile. Drisker's student, Tarsha Kaynin, has been reunited with Dar, chief defender of what is left of the Druid order, and is learning to control her powerful Wishsong magic. If they can only survive Tarsha's brother and the Druid who betrayed Drisker Arc, they might stand a chance of defeating the Skaar. But that is a very big if...as Tarsha's brother now carries the Stiehl--one of the most powerful weapons in all the Four Lands, and is determined to take his revenge on everyone he feels has wronged him.

The Stiehl Assassin by Terry Brooks will be released on June 4, 2019.

If you are interested of Terry Brooks' Science Fiction novel called Street Freaks, read on for some details.

Street Freaks by Terry Brooks

It begins with a dire call-right before his father disappears and his skyscraper home's doors explode inward. Street Freaks is the kind of thrilling futuristic story only New York Times bestselling author Terry Brooks can tell.

"Go into the Red Zone. Go to Street Freaks." his father directs Ashton Collins before the vid feed goes suddenly silent. The Red Zone is the dangerous heart of mega-city Los Angeles; it is a world Ash is forbidden from and one he knows little about. But if he can find Street Freaks, the strangest of aid awaits―human and barely human alike. As Ash is hunted, he must unravel the mystery left behind by his father and discover his role in this new world.

Brooks has long been the grandmaster of fantasy. Now he turns his hand to science fiction filled with what his readers love best: complex characters, extraordinary settings, exciting action, and a page-turning story. Through it, Brooks reimagines his bestselling career yet again.
