6 New Movie Stills Of The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug Have Landed

There is but one desolation I am willing to go through this year, and that's just The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. In two weeks we will finally witness the continuation of the masterpiece by Peter Jackson based on the popular work of J.R.R. Tolkien.

The runtime of the movie may have caused me some annoyance, it's going to be the shortest in the Trilogy and the entire Tolkien canon Jackson has adapted as well, but I am just hoping it will satisfy as story wise, visually and much more.

Check out these 6 new movie stills of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug that scattered around the internet.

December 13, 2013 seems so distant and I can't want to watch The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug anymore...

Hercules: The Legend Begins Crashes In With A Second Trailer

The second trailer of Hercules: The Legend Begins has finally arrived and it is far more exciting than the previous one, which I have to admit too short and teasing for my taste. This new trailer is filled with more exciting scenes that may have locked in my liking and anticipation for the movie.

Summit Entertainment offers this new take on the classical and mythological adventure with director Renny Harlin taking us to new heights with the help of the script written by Sean Hood and Daniel Giat. Kellan Lutz will play the mythological hero and he will be joined by Scott Adkins, Liam McIntyre, Liam Garrigan, Johnathon Schaech, Roxanne McKee, Gaia Weiss, Rade Serbedzija.

Know more about Hercules: The Legend Begins through the new trailer below.

Synopsis

In Ancient Greece 1200 B.C., a queen succumbs to the lust of Zeus to bear a son promised to overthrow the tyrannical rule of the king and restore peace to a land in hardship. But this prince, Hercules, knows nothing of his real identity or his destiny. He desires only one thing: the love of Hebe, Princess of Crete, who has been promised to his own brother. When Hercules learns of his greater purpose, he must choose: to flee with his true love or to fulfill his destiny and become the true hero of his time. The story behind one of the greatest myths is revealed in this action-packed epic - a tale of love, sacrifice and the strength of the human spirit.

Hercules: The Legend Begins starts crashing into theaters on January 10, 2014.

Google Glass: A New Perspective (Welcomes You To A World Through Glass)

Google Glass
It only took a few years for smartphones to replace point-and-shoot cameras as the most popular way to take a picture, but the principle was the same — hold the camera up, check your view through the screen and snap a shot. Functionally, photography really hasn't changed in decades, until now. Google Glass is the new wearable technology that resembles a pair of eyeglasses and houses a high-definition camera in the frames. Wearing Google Glass, users can take pictures and record video on the go. It's innovative. It's revolutionary. It will just about ruin photography as we know it.

Voice Commands

Google boasts Glass's hands-free capabilities and voice commands to take pictures and record video. Users mutter "take a picture" and that's exactly what Glass does. The idea sounds groundbreaking in theory, but it doesn't translate well to reality. Think about your smartphone and how often you use its voice command. Probably rarely, and if it's for pictures, likely never. A recent study found that 85 percent of iOS users have never used Siri since upgrading. And it's likely that the 15 percent who do, don't use it for anything photography related.

The novelty of voice commands will wear quickly and Glass users will beg for a button to press when taking pictures, if they haven't ditched the headset altogether.

Privacy Issues

Google Glass has a courteous red LED indicator to alert outsiders that a photo or video recording is coming their way. This is to prevent socially invasive people with no boundaries from secretly and creepily snapping shots on the street. It's a pretty noble feature from Google, but developers already found their way around this privacy feature and disabled the red light with third-party software. Now, whenever you see someone walking down the street with a pair of these specs, you'll never really know what's going on behind the lens.

On the other side, tin-foil theories surface saying companies or the NSA can use Glass cameras to create an advanced network of street surveillance without the owner's knowledge or consent. It's a theory that would sound crazy just one year ago, but today it isn't so invalid. Google Glass does have built-in Wi-Fi, so a Centurylink connection in the home gets you online, but it also pairs with an Android phone. There's rarely a moment these aren't online.

POV Perspective

Instagram ushered a new era of unprofessional box-shaped photos. Our children will look back on all the pictures we took after 2011 and assume camera technology digressed. In the same way, Google Glass will introduce a new trend of awkward point-of-view perspective pictures and any creative angles will go out the window. On the bright side, there's no longer a need for selfies. Just let a person get uncomfortably close and you now have a new Facebook profile picture.

Make It Fashionable

If Google Glass wants any sort of mainstream implementation, it will need to team up with Ray Ban or Oakley to release a fashionable edition that more people will wear. Google Glass isn't available to the public until 2014.

Phil quickly proclaims himself "God" of the island - but Chris has Boy Scout skills and would be far better suited to lead the group if he could overcome his fear - of everything. After being rained down by heartbreaking ballads and blues from Canadian singer, Justin Bieber, the next song from the #MusicMondays library turns to the brighter side. The eighth song in this list takes on an upbeat and faster tempo, running away from the moody and melodramatic theme of his previously released songs, which mostly talks about heartbreak, break-up, lost love and more on break-up.

Roller Coaster, the title of the new song, somehow became an instant favorite among Bieber fanatics, who wouldn't be? Because after leaving us ice cold and shivering with his previously released songs, who wouldn't like to have some breather and listen to something more positive this time?

The New Say Something Music Video Unites A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera

I was an instant fan of Say Something, even before Christina Aguilera came into the melee of this very emotional song that obviously told a portion of my story. A Great Big World is great on their own, but there is no denying the collaboration with Xtina just heightens and multiplies my liking for the song ten folds or more.

Mr. Feels is once again triggered! The simplicity of the music video makes it even more touching and down to Earth. For sure, like me, everyone who has gone through some heart-breaking phase in their lives might be able to call this song as their own... their personal theme... our song.

Watch the new music video of Say Something by A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera.

Say Something first came out in early September included in A Great Big World's Is There Anybody Out There? debut album. The new version, which would surely be repackaged, was released two months after the release of the already beautiful original.

The music video was shot in Los Angeles a few days after that, with Christina Aguilera excitedly posting a teaser photo of the shooting. The ever touching and heart breaking lyrics and tunes are super imposed with emotional scenes of people in various state in life, with the three artists appearing from time to time and looked super serious.

Watch The Muppets Most Wanted Official Theatrical Trailer, Starring Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, Tina Fey

In a not so expected sequel comes the very much expected gang of The Muppets, which may include but not limited to Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo and Animal. Of course the fun wouldn't be complete without the equally hilarious human cast including Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell, and Tina Fey.

Muppets Most Wanted

Muppets Most Wanted has just released a fun new theatrical trailer and might convince you why the original movie really needs an unsolicited sequel. Walt Disney Pictures makes sure that this James Bobin directed movie (based on the script by James Bobin & Nicholas Stoller) isn't the last the we'd see from these classic puppets that encouraged our imaginations when we were younger...

Watch the new theatrical trailer of Muppets Most Wanted.

Synopsis

While on a grand world tour, the Muppets find themselves wrapped into an European jewel-heist caper headed by a Kermit lookalike and his dastardly sidekick.

Muppets Most Wanted starts the fun in theaters come March 21, 2014.

Music Video Of Unconditionally By Katy Perry Feels Like A Scene From Joe Wright's Anna Karenina

Grammarians might scorn the diction of how Katy Perry pronounces the word Unconditionally, but the song is by far the best one in her latest album, Prism. By accepting the flaws and strength of your lover, only then can you love truly and deeply.

Unconditionally by Katy Perry

To add up to the beauty of the song Katy Perry has released a very cinematic music video, the likes of which we have seen in the ball scene in Joe Wright's Anna Karenina movie. Or is the movie really the inspiration for this video, considering the central theme of the movie has something to do with unconditional (or not) love as well?

Watch the new music video of Unconditionally by Katy Perry.

Unconditionally is the second single to be released (in mid-October) from Katy Perry's Prism. Being the fifth track from the said album, the song was written by the singer, together with Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald, Max Martin, and Henry "Cirkut" Walter, and was produced by Gottwald, Martin, and Walter.

Despite some similarities with Anna Karenina, the video was in fact inspired by the 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons. It was filmed in Lodon way back in October and was directed by Aya Tanimura. The lyric video, on the other hand, showcases glimpses of the unconditional same-sex love, and you might find actress Janell Shirtcliff and androgynous model Erika Linder in it. Did you happen to spot the little girl featured in Katy Perry's Wide Awake music video?

You can download the song in iTunes.

#MusicMondays: Justin Bieber Gets Some Help From R&B Singer R. Kelly For PYD

If Justin Bieber's almost crying voice is not enough to bring you down to your feet, then he is exactly in the right by asking R. Kelly to sing with him in his newest song entitled PYD. This is the seventh song from the projected 10 songs to comprise his #MusicMondays list.

PYD by Justin Bieber feat. R. Kelly

These two really need to step up if they are going to "Put You Down," as the song was abbreviated. Don't misinterpret for some abbreviation of a political party in Syria, because that's not it. This song is rather a call for PDA -- Public Display of Affection...

Listen to PYD by Justin Bieber, featuring R. Kelly.

PYD by Justin Bieber, featuring R. Kelly, is available via iTunes. There are still three new songs to come from Justin Bieber before Music Mondyas list is finally completed. Listen to all of the songs before the release of Believe 3D, a documentary about the super star which is directed by Jon M. Chu and will be released on Christmas Day of 2013.

There Is Nowhere To Hide In The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug TV Spot 6

Benedict Cumberbatch's performance is getting better and better and almost clear now. He was definitely able to pull off the character of the dragon Smaug, which is kind of hard unless you are like Andy Serkis, who is very good with manipulating his voice and all (have you already forgotten Gollum, how dare you)...

Even if the dragon Smaug is not the central them of the new TV spot dubbed as There is Nowhere to Hide, his character was given a 3-second limelight by opening this most thrilling and emotional TV spot yet. If only we could see the whole movie already!

It's her trademark that she'll always make me quite emotional -- she's digging into the soul of each and every one of us. Every human could very well relate to the song, who wouldn't considering the title of the song? As humans we are destined to make mistakes, get sad and hurt, but on the other end of the spectrum you also get to enjoy the happiness life could offer as well as learn from the mistakes you've committed.

Bilbo Hiding From Giant Spiders Graces New The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug Banner Poster Art

The release date of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is getting nearer and nearer, leaving some of us restless and hyperactive. Any news about the movie brings in a new wave of euphoria and serotonin, an aid to forget the recent tragic events even just for a few moments.

It may not be the right time for us to celebrate whilst our fellow citizens are suffering (I've been there circa Frank), but this is not an excuse to let down our well being. How can we help if we ourselves are not fit to do what is expected of us because we let our emotions, and not actions, rule? But then again I am straying away from the topic...

Here are two versions of the new banner poster of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, featuring Bilbo and the glimpse of giant spiders.

Catch the blaze of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in theaters on December 13, 2013.

New The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Clip Showcases Panem City's Party Of The Year

To celebrate the triumph of the new victors of District 12, the Capitol hosts one of the most lavish party in Panem to honor Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. That's just essentially what you will see in the newest clip released by The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

As the culmination of the 12 District tours by the champions, they will have to experience a celebration any from the poor and unkempt district never, if not seldom, experienced. That's quite a privilege, but to get there may mean danger and putting your self to danger in the Hunger Games, until you will be crowned the victor.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Clip - The Party Of The Year

Synopsis

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is directed by Francis Lawrence, from a screenplay by Simon Beaufoy and Michael DeBruyn, based upon the novel “Catching Fire” by Suzanne Collins and produced by Nina Jacobson and Jon Kilik. The novel is the second in a trilogy that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone. Lionsgate presents a Color Force/Lionsgate production.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be released to theaters on November 22, 2013.

Watch The Full Trailer Of Darren Aronofsky's Noah, Starring Russell Crowe

I'm a fan of Roland Emmerich's apocalyptic films. The human drama with a little crowd psychology makes the story relatable and epic at scale. Everyone is quite excited and curious to watch the future inevitability of what will happen to all humanities...

It's nice to see the probable future, but it's quite amazing to see the past at the same time -- a biblical past at that. Darren Aronofsky is giving us his interpretation of the biblical event known as the deluge in his upcoming movie, Noah.

Here is the trailer of Darren Aronofsky's Noah, starring Russell Crowe.

Here is the UK version of the trailer.

Synopsis

Subject to divine visions foretelling the end of the world, Noah attempts to tell his people to cease their mistreatment of the Earth in order to be saved. No one listens to his warnings, and Noah and his family are cast out to fend for themselves in the wilderness. Noah approaches a race of giant six-armed angels known as the "Watchers" to rally them to his cause.

Darren Aronofsky's Noah will hit cinema's on November 28, 2014.

Experience Creepy Exorcism In The Official Music Video Of What Now By Rihanna

It's been quite a while since Rihanna released what I dubbed as an almost sleazy (that's just me, not her, OK?) music video of Pour It Up. That's why I need a pick me up from the said singer to change this nagging "childhood ruined" of her image on my mind.

Toning down the theme a bit, her latest music video tackles the eighth track on her Unapologetic album called What Now. And maybe that's just exactly what I needed to forget her previous music video. Somebody exorcise me. This four-minute mix of nostalgic drama, emotional breakdown and what ifs will definitely appeal to the depressed and emotionally unstable, just like me.

Watch the official music video of What Now by Rihanna.

What Now was written by Olivia Waithe, Fenty, Parker Ighile, and Nathan Cassells, with Ighile, Cassells and Kuk Harrell producing it. The song was released as a single last August 29, 2013. This almost exorcism music video was directed by Jeff Nicholas, Jonathan Craven, and Darren Craig.

Darren Aronofsky's Noah Gets A New, Apocalyptic Poster, Featuring Russell Crowe

The movie poster trend where the back of the main character is turned away to the audience is once again a dominant trade! The new poster of Darren Aronofsky's Noah, starring Russell Crowe, proves that this very teasing technique does not really grow old to excite fans and to put mystery on the movie.

This retelling of the biblical deluge could very well remind us why things are happening around us. The film, on the other hand, also stars Jennifer Connelly, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Anthony Hopkins, and Ray Winstone.

Check out his new poster of Darren Aronofsky's Noah, featuring Russell Crowe, or his backside that is.

Angelina Jolie Really Looks The Part Of Maleficent In New Teaser Trailer Released By Disney

Every villain (or villainess, for that matter) has a back story. They are not always outright evil, but some aspect in their lives may have just urged them to be so... The same principle applies with Maleficent, the villain of the classic animated 1959 movie, Sleeping Beauty. And the upcoming Disney movie may very well tell her story why Maleficent became what she would most known to be -- one of the greatest villains...

Maleficent

Maleficent is directed by Robert Stromberg based on the screenplay written by Linda Woolverton. The film stars Angelina Jolie as Maleficent, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. Jolie is also one of the executive producers, together with Don Hahn, Matt Smith, Palak Patel and Sarah Bradshaw.

Check out the new trailer of Disney's Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie.

Synopsis

From Disney comes “Maleficent”—the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty.” A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. Maleficent rises to be the land’s fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal—an act that begins to turn her pure heart to stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading king’s successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Maleficent realizes that Aurora holds the key to peace in the kingdom—and perhaps to Maleficent’s true happiness as well.
