The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Swings With Official New York Times Square Trailer

This Marc Webb follow-up to The Amazing Spider-Man will hopefully not follow on the tracks of the third movie of the original movie trilogy. You see, after the studio (hello Sony Pictures / Columbia Pictures) interfered with Sam Raimi's masterpiece it turned out like hell, thinking that when Spidey faces a lot of villains in one movie then everyone would dig it. Unfortunately it didn't, leading to the fall of the original movie series -- the main reason why this reboot was done anyway.

Hopefully the vision of the movie's director will see the light and he won't allow the studio to push him over with ideas so ugly making this reboot turn out the way the first series ended: a flop. It's quite relieving though this got some decent writers work with the script: Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt.

Anyway, what's your thoughts on this recently released The Amazing Spider-Man 2 New Year's Eve Times Square trailer?

Synopsis

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy -- between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away -- but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Can't really wait for May 2, 201 anymore -- the day The Amazing Spider-Man 2 swings to theaters!
