Austenland Movie Adaptation Starring Keri Russell Gets First Trailer

The long awaited movie adaptation of Austenland, based on the novel written by Goose Girl author Shannon Hale, has finally landed its first trailer. It is very much as fun and hilarious as every fan of the original novel envisioned it, if not much better.

The movie, which is directed by Jerusha Hess, is produced by Twilight Saga's Stephenie Meyer, and Gina Mingacci. It is based on the screenplay by Jerusha Hess and author Shannon Hale. It stars Keri Russell, J J Field, Bret McKenzie, and Jennifer Coolidge among many other hilarious cast.

Synopsis

30-something, single Jane Hayes is a seemingly normal young woman with a secret: her obsession with all things Jane Austen. But when she decides to spend her life savings on a trip to an English resort catering to Austen-crazed women, Jane's fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become more real than she ever could have imagined.

Austenland was first released on January 18, 2013 during the Sundance Film Festival and will be available for the general public on August 16, 2013.
